Dr Anna Doś at the International Congress Of Ethics And Sustainable Development

On 32th of May Anna Doś, PhD participated in the International Congress Of Ethics And Sustainable Development. The congress integrates scientists from Polish and foreign universities, business representatives, representatives of local governments and leading experts involved in the promotion of business ethics and sustainable development. Dr Anna Doś presented a paper titled: “Bonuses in the banking sector – institutionalisation of sweating?”.

Academics from the Department of Corporate Finance and Insurance at the 17th Annual Conference on Finance and Accounting organized by the University of Economics in Prague

PROF. WALASIK EVALUATES DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS IN OSTRAVA

On March, 11th Prof. Artur Walasik represented University of Economics in Katowice as evaluator of the best dissertation defended in 2015, organized by 13 high schools from Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia, which are the participants of Progress3 Consortium. The core mission of the PROGRES 3 Consortium is to create links among the universities of the Moravian-Silesian Region, the Žilina Region and the Silesian and Opole Voivodeships with regard to scientific research and innovation. The goal of these links is to generate a concentration of research and innovation capacities; this concentration will facilitate more effective planning, management and practical implementation of research projects and their technical applications. The Consortium will create the necessary conditions for intensive sharing of research outcomes and experiences of innovation-based activities, and will complement the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) TRITIA which exists on the level of national ministries. Prof. Walasik has participated in program since 2013, hence it was fourth time he is the evaluator of dissertation submitted in the category “Economics and finance”. This year, there was eight doctoral dissertations:
