About the project

The aim of the "SI&E Artificial Intelligence and Education" project is to enhance knowledge and awareness of artificial intelligence and its use in education (teaching and learning), including moral and social aspects.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a fast developing area becoming an increasingly prevalent part of our daily lives. It is imperative that young people should be more than just observers of this technological breakthrough and become active contributors to positive changes in their communities and the world. We need to support them in understanding and using the powerful tools artificial intelligence provides, but also consider the moral and social consequences early on.

Secondary aim of the project is the improvement of the scientific research level of our University academic staff in the areas concerning the research workshop refinement and scientific work internationalization (opportunities to establish scientific and research cooperation).

All planned activities will be carried out in cooperation with Prof. Vladlena Benson, who will provide mentoring support in the implementation of research projects by both experienced and young researchers. The academic staff of our Universtiy will mainly benefit from Professor Benson's vast experience in the area of scientific publications.

The project is coordinated by dr hab. Bożena Frączek, prof. UE, who is implementing the project with the support of Internationalization.

The "SI&E Artificial Intelligence and Education" project has been co-financed by the Metropolis GZM within the framework of the "Metropolitan Science and Education Support Fund" program for the years 2022-2024 in the amount of PLN 35,046.00.

Project duration: October - November 2023.
