Disabled student/doctoral student assistant

All students/doctoral students with a valid certificate of severe disability may apply for services of a disabled student/doctoral student assistant.

The assistant's tasks include, among others:

  • helping the disabled person to move between the university buildings;
  • taking notes in class;
  • supporting the student/doctoral student in completing all formalities related to the educational process - in the Dean's Office and other organizational units of the University, including assistance in using library resources.

The decision on granting assistant services is made by the Vice-Rector for Education and Internationalization after consultation with the Rector’s Representative for the Disabled.

First, the application (together with a photocopy of the disability certificate) should be submitted to the Rector’s Representative for the Disabled, who, after giving his/her opinion, will forward it to the Vice-Rector for Education and Internationalization for a final decision. The Representative will inform the applicant of the decision. If the decision is positive, the applicant should provide the Representative with an up-to-date timetable and, if possible, indicate the student who will act as an assistant or request the Representative for help in finding an assistant.
