Procedure of completing the internship programme or crediting other activities as compulsory internship

1. Students may apply to have their past activities credited as compulsory internship in the 5 following situations:

  • They used to or continue to pursue gainful employment in enterprises which provide the opportunity to obtain appropriate practical skills – if the nature of the job meets the requirements provided for in the programme curriculum and the student was evaluated positively by the supervisor or another person designated by the Dean (if there is no supervisor) in this matter.
  • They are currently doing or they successfully completed compulsory internship as part of their higher education programme, at another higher education institution, which meets the requirements provided for in the programme curriculum.
  • They used to or continue to pursue their own business activity.
  • They successfully completed foreign internship organised by the University, which guarantees that appropriate practical skills were acquired.
  • They participated in traineeships or internship (also, as part of voluntary work), which guarantee that appropriate practical skills were acquired.

2. Prepare the internship completion form. Then sign the required documents and obtain the signature of an appropriate person from the enterprise.

3. The form needs to contain the approval of the supervisor (if you do not have a supervisor, you need to contact the Dean). Then obtain the approval of a competent Dean.

4. Submit the internship completion form with signatures to the Bureau for Cooperation with Corporate Partners and University Alumni (RWG) – it will constitute the confirmation that you successfully completed your internship. RWG will store all the documents pertaining to your internship.  

1. Find an enterprise and agree on the date, type and details of the internship.

2. Prepare the internship plan (1 copy) and the student compulsory internship agreement (3 copies).

3. Fill in the plan of the internship and the student internship agreement together with the enterprise and obtain a signature of an appropriate person from the enterprise.

4. Your plan of the internship has to contain an approval of the supervisor (if you do not have a supervisor, you need to contact the Dean) and the Dean (if you do your internship over the course of the academic year).

5. Submit the agreement, the plan of your internship (with all signatures) and a photocopy of the accident insurance confirmation to Bureau for Cooperation with Corporate Partners and University Alumni (RWG).

6. Submit a copy of the agreement signed by RWG to the enterprise. Keep one copy for yourself.

7. Complete the internship successfully.

8. Prepare the internship completion form. The form has to contain a signature of an appropriate person from the enterprise – it will constitute the confirmation that you successfully completed your internship.

9. The internship completion form has to contain a signature of your supervisor – it will constitute the confirmation that you successfully completed the subject-related part your internship.

10. Submit the internship completion form with signatures to RWG – it will constitute the credit that you receive for successfully completing the subject-related part of your internship. RWG will store all the documents pertaining to your internship.

Your plan of the internship has to contain an approval of the Head of Bureau for Cooperation with Corporate Partners and University Alumni (RWG) (if the internship will be completed over the course of the summer holiday), a Dean (if the internship will be completed over the course of the academic year).

5. Submit the agreement, the plan of your internship (with all signatures) and a photocopy of the accident insurance confirmation to RWG.

6. Submit a copy of the agreement signed by RWG to the enterprise. Keep one copy for yourself.

7. Complete the internship successfully.

8. Prepare the internship completion form. The form has to contain a signature of an appropriate person from the enterprise

9. Submit the internship completion form with signatures to RWG – it will constitute the confirmation that you successfully completed your internship. RWG will store all the documents pertaining to your internship.

  • The documents are available on your account at the e-University [e-uczelnia].
  • If the enterprise has a different agreement template, contact Bureau for Cooperation with Corporate Partners and University Alumni (RWG).
  • If you are doing your internship at the University – you have to comply with the statement from an internal body of the University on admitting a student to the internship.

  • Moreover, you may ask the enterprise to provide you with a confirmation of your internship and/or a letter of recommendation – they may be useful in the future, e.g. as an attachment to CV.
  • Keep photocopies of all documents pertaining to your internship for yourself – you may need them in the future.
  • If you are doing your internship in an enterprise which does not have any office in Poland, the agreement does not need to be signed – then, the procedure of crediting other activities as compulsory internship applies.
