On Friday, May 13, we held a Global Village - an event during which international students had a chance to share some interesting facts about their home countries and present elements of their culture, such as food, drinks and national costumes.
Food is something that really brings people together, which is why participants had a unique opportunity to experience new flavors from all over the world. Moreover, they could feast their eyes on colorful traditional costumes worn by our students from India, Morocco, China, and Algeria. The Uni Buddies ensured that all of the students from abroad could experience the famous Polish hospitality by providing a variety of homemade Polish dishes and beverages.
In total, more than 65 international students from 19 countries participated in this edition of the Global Village, which since its beginning has gained a huge popularity as one of the best integration events offered for the academic community here at UE Katowice.The event was organized by the Internationalization Office together with the International Relations Office and the Base Camp dormitory.
