1. OBJECTIVES AND THEMES
Objectives
The main objectives of the 2nd International Seminar are:
- Academic debate on actual issues of urban and regional economics in Central Europe
- Identify similarities and differences between the economics of cities and regions in Central Europe
- Integration of academics from Central European countries in order to develop joint resarch projects and improve education in urban and regional studies
Themes
We welcome papers from following themes:
- Urban and regional competitveness and entrepreneurship
- Land use policy for cities and regions in transition
- Urban and regional public services and infrastructure
- Urban and regional economic resilience
- EU regional policy and its impact on cities and regions in Central Europe
- Urban real estate economics
- Governance and civic initiatives in urban and regional planning

All accepted papers will be publish in the peer reviewed leading Polish journal of spatial economy and regional planning STUDIA REGIONALIA or in the special issue of JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT.
