On November 26, our University hosted almost 1000 candidates as part of the biggest event of this kind - Autumn Open Day accompanied by the motto: "Study, work, earn".
Candidates came to us from different schools, for instance from Katowice, Chorzów, Bytom, Zabrze, Mysłowice, Sosnowiec, Tychy, Tarnowskie Góry, Bielsko Biała, Oświęcim, Księdzierzyn Koźle, Wolbrom, Tychy, Mikołów, Żywiec, Gliwice and Ruda Śląska. Persons from Belarus, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine also paid us a visit.
Vice-Rector Sławomir Smyczek, prof. dr hab., warmly welcomed our guests in the Auditorium of Advanced Information Technology Center, (Polish acronym: CNTI).
There were plenty of attractions prepared by our students, academic teachers, employees and friends of the University of Economics in Katowice.
As every year, Admissions Office and Course Ambassadors Stands met with a huge interest. In view of their variety, 10 mini-lectures, conducted by our lecturers in Polish and English, encouraged crowds of candidates to learn about the form of classes conducted at the University.
The programme also provided for many attractions, such as a visit to the campus, a meeting with representatives of student organizations and research clubs, a photo booth, photos with SnapHela, stand of our Academic Studio of Radio Katowice with live music and many more!
For those who were not able to visit our campus in person, we prepared something special – Q&A session, which went live on Instagram.
