ERSA Summer School 2019

Between 16th and 22nd June 2019 European Regional Science Association organizes 32nd international summer school for young researchers and PhD candidates. The aim of the event is to bring together researchers who are at the beginning of their scientific carrier with the already recognized scientists. University of Economics in Katowice is the co-organizer of the event.


ERSA Summer School 2019 will be a great opportunity to digest on the theme: cities and regions in the process of transformation. In particular, but not exclusively, we would like to discuss the geography of innovation, resilience, smart cities and specialization.

With Ron Boschma, Andrea Caragliu, Chiara del Bo, Leila Kebir, Eveline van Leeuwen, Stefan Rehak and Andre Torre being the key lecturers, we expect great scientific atmosphere and fruitful discussions on the research agenda. Katowice is a wonderful city you should definitely visit!
