Officially, the anniversary year starts with the inauguration of the 2016/2017 academic year and will culminate in the University Day on January 11, 2017. The anniversary celebrations will feature a series of events and a number of scientific publications.
We would like to invite you to the events that will strengthen the bond between the academic community and the university’s environment, including:
- the performance of Carl Orff’s scenic cantata “Carmina Burana” during the University Day celebrations on 11 January 2017. The concert is organized jointly by the choirs of the University of Economics in Katowice, the Technical University of Silesia, the School of Music in Katowice, the orchestra and soloists of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, and the City of Katowice,
- the Anniversary University Ball – 28 January 2017,
- the exhibition “The University of Economics in Katowice in the history of the City of Katowice” planned for May 2017 in Katowice’s Market Square and prepared with the support of the City Hall,
- the Anniversary Alumni Conventions – 28 October 2016 and September 2017.
