The Faculty of Management was established pursuant to the Statute of the University of Economics in Katowice dated 24 June 2021, replacing the College of Management, which operated from 1 October 2019 to 31 August 2021. It was preceded by the Faculty of Management, established in 1992, which originated from the Faculty of Industrial Organisation, where teaching began on 11 January 1937 – the day of the University’s first inauguration of the academic year.

The Faculty of Management is one of the five Faculties of the University of Economics in Katowice, a public academic university and one of the oldest higher education institutions in Silesia.

The staff of the Faculty of Management conduct research in the academic disciplines of management and quality sciences, and economics and finance.
