Message regarding the operation of the University in the summer semester 2021/2022

We would like to remind you that on March 21 the hybrid form of education at the University of Economics in Katowice will be restored. In addition, we present the updated sanitary safety rules on the University campus.

The hybrid form of education

We would like to remind you that according to Ordinance No. 8/22 from March 21, 2022:

1) the following will be implemented in the stationary form at the bachelor's and master's degree programs: exercises/laboratories, physical education classes, English-language lectures in the fields of study and specialties: FAB, ARIMA, E-Commerce, IB, Mercuri, Erasmus, with the exception of lectures in the field of International Business (I degree), where more than one group of students has been formed, as well as classes in doctoral studies and in the Doctoral School.

2) lectures (including lectures for students majoring in International Business (I level), in which more than one group of students was created), seminars, classes and consultations will be conducted remotely.

Sanitary safety on campus

People staying at the University are obliged to observe the requirements of sanitary safety resulting from the provisions of generally applicable law, in particular the provisions on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and prohibitions in connection with the occurrence of an epidemic, including the order to cover the mouth and nose in publicly accessible spaces with a mask.

In the interest of common safety, it is recommended that:

  • in public areas of the University, keeping a distance of at least 1.5 m between persons;
  • regular ventilation of the rooms where classes are held, especially during breaks between classes
  • covering the mouth and nose with a mask during classes by students, doctoral students, participants of post-graduate studies and other forms of education.
