Adoption of the University's Strategic Plan

During the extraordinary meeting of the Senate of the University of Economics in

Katowice, which took place on Thursday, July 1, 2021, two resolutions were adopted:

resolution amending the Development Strategy of the University of Economics in

Katowice for 2018-2025 and resolution on the adoption of the Strategic Plan of the

University of Economics in Katowice.

From the very beginning, the University of Economics in Katowice has served and acted for the benefit of the highly urbanized and industrialized Silesian Metropolis and the entire country.

Throughout the 85 years since its establishment, the University has played an important role in educating human resources for the business and society, as well as in conducting research in the field of economic sciences. During this time, the University has developed its own brand, recognizable not only in Poland, but also abroad - a brand that is now associated with a modern education, innovative research, close cooperation with the environment and responsibility for the sustainable development of the region.

Bearing in mind that the coming years will bring significant changes resulting from the postulates of sustainable development, which will affect not only the development of higher education, but also the entire economy and the labor market, we face the need to adapt the Development Strategy of UE Katowice for 2018-2025. This will allow us to meet the new requirements and challenges posed by the Green Economy and the Digital Economy.

The UEKat 2025 Strategic Plan elaborates the provisions of the Development Strategy of UE Katowice for 2018-2025, including outlining the University’s operational objectives and projects for the next 5 years.
