Integration Week for international students

The Integration Week for English- and Polish-speaking students from abroad studying at our University, including both exchange and degree-seeking students, will commence on Monday, September 27, 2021.

We will host over 200 new students from 45 countries. During the whole week they will have an opportunity to get to know the region and the city by participating in a City Game, taking a walk around Nikiszowiec or visiting the Silesian Museum. During the Information Day, students will learn about the rules of studies at UE Katowice - what, how and where to arrange various matters at the University. Moreover, they will have a chance to face challenges of the Polish language during special workshops. Students can also take part in integration events with Polish students who have taken on the role of UniBuddy.

The culminating point of the Integration Week will be the Global Village. Students from abroad will be able to present their national costumes, dances, dishes and drinks. In turn, new members of our academic community can try traditional Polish food, such as pierogi, sour rye soup (Polish: "żurek") and homemade apple pie prepared by Polish students. This unique international event will be held in the newly opened, and at the same time most modern dormitory in Katowice - BaseCamp, which is located near our campus.

Welcome everyone to our Alma Mater!
