Open Day

On 23rd of April 2021, The Open Day of English study programmes took place. The whole day was full of presentation of courses, lectures, Q&A sessions, as well as meeting with the short relations delivered by both Master and Bachelor students and graduates.

The last day of Open Week, was fully dedicated to programme studies in English. For starters, the webinar of International Business programme was presented, where the Vice-Rector for Education and Internationalization - prof. Sławomir Smyczek, the Dean of School of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies - prof. Justyna Matysiewcz and IB programme manager - Marta Grybś-Kabocik shared the development routes and the opportunities given after IB. This part was concluded by the IB Master graduates and students, who shared their personal experience that they gained during their adventure at the University.

During the E-commerce programme webinar, Damian Kocot, PhD gave a lecture on "E-commerce and IT innovations", where he described the possibilities that come from studying the electronic trade.

Quantitative Asset and Risk Management (ARIMA) webinar - "Time and Noise in Economics - Past, Present, Future" was presented by prof. Stanisław Barczak, PhD Later, the candidates could meet and ask questions concerning the ARIMA programme to its manager Ewa Dziwok, PhD.

Karolina Derwisz, the graduate of the Finance and Accounting for International Business programme gave a presentation on topic "Expanding horizons in finance". She was talking about building a career in finance, while giving many helpful advice to the candidates as well as the students. The floor also took the programme manager - prof. Monika Klimontowicz, PhD.

In the afternoon, the screen was again taken by the Vice-Rector for Education and Internationalization - prof. Sławomir Smyczek, the Dean of School of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies - prof. Justyna Matysiewicz, PhD and Marta Grybś-Kabocik, who talked about the European Master’s in Customer Relationship Marketing (MERCURI) programme. Master degree candidates received all essential information about the study programme as well as what actually differentiate this particular program from others.

As a part of IB Master webinars, we had pleasure to host prof. Stephane Ganassali from Université Savoie Mont Blanc, who shared the presentation on "How to become a market detective". He showed candidates his Mother country - France, where new recruits may visit as a part of multiple projects or exchanges.

The last but not least was the Finance and Accounting for Business programme webinar "New trends in finance", where Monika Klimontowicz, PhD talked about financial trends. She shared her view on what is a key to future industry, also explained to the candidates how profitable is future studying finance and accounting in English.

Each webinar was divided by the short presentation given by the International Relations Office about exchange grants and general information about exchange programs.

At the end of each webinar, there was a possibility to ask questions about the recruitment process during Q&A sessions.Furthermore,  our specialists presented possible recruitment routes for candidates, with accordance to the nationality and form of Matura exam.
