Expert lecture entitled "Practical approach to sustainable non-financial reporting. Key outcomes from first CSRD reporting period."
On January 8, 2026, we hosted dr Maciej Gomółka from KPMG in our Corporate Social Responsibility classes. At the invitation of dr Agnieszka Skręt-Bednarz, he delivered a lecture and a practical workshop entitled "Practical Approach to Sustainable Non-Financial Reporting. Key Outcomes from the First CSRD Reporting Period." The aim of the meeting was to familiarize students with practical issues related to non-financial reporting.
Dr Maciej Gomółka serves as Associate Director in the ESG, Decarbonization, and Biodiversity team. He specializes in consulting in finance, management, ESG, and clean energy. In his current role, he focuses on developing new services and building partnerships with companies striving for sustainable development and decarbonization.
During the lecture, addressed to first-semester students of the Master's program in Finance and Accounting for Business, dr Gomółka presented his experiences with ESG reporting by companies. Next, as part of the workshop, the students analyzed the non-financial reports based on the CSRD standard of key FMCG companies in Poland. In this context, the students considered key sustainability risks specific to this industry. In addition to ESG-related aspects, the students also considered the impact of reported disclosures on the value of the companies analyzed.
