Participation of the Department employee in the International Scientific Conference RESILIENT & SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIES 2024
On September 25-28, 2024, the International Scientific Conference RESILIENT & SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIES 2024 was held, organized by the Polish Association of Environmental and Natural Resource Economists, the University of Białystok, the Białystok University of Technology, the Opole University of Technology, the Poznań University of Life Sciences, the WSB Merito University in Poznań, Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) and Bandirma Onyedi Eylul University (Turkey).
The conference focused on the discussion on the impact of crisis phenomena on the directions and policy and practice of sustainable development. As the organizers point out, "effective reorientation of the European Union and world economy towards sustainable development requires that economies and societies are more resilient to crisis phenomena, and that responses to current and future crises are more sustainable."
Among the many participants, representing leading Polish and foreign scientific units, dr inż. Iwona Gorzeń-Mitka presented her research: ESG IN RISK MANAGEMENT: CONTENT ANALYSIS USING SCIMAT (research carried out as part of the "ECOnimics4Climate II" project co-financed by the Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolia under the "Metropolitalny Fundusz Wspierania Nauki" Program in 2022-2024 as part of the project initiative entitled Managing the risk of green transformation in companies from innovative industries).
