Participation of the Department's employees in the 12th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE on SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT in Rome
On September 11-12, 2024, the 12th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE on SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT was held in Rome, organized by the European Center of Sustainable Development in cooperation with the Canadian Institute of Technology University. The main theme of the Conference was “Creating a unified foundation for the Sustainable Development: research, practice and education”.
The inspiration for the ICSD 2024 Conference are the key challenges in the field of sustainable development for human, the environment and the economy, concerning current and future activities in the global context.
This year's theme of the Conference indicates the solid foundations that are provided by scientific research, the results of which can be used in economic and social activities. The 2024 Conference once again gathered an international forum, which shared the results of the completed research during the session in the form of presentations and published posters.

- dr Małgorzata Lipowicz: SUSTAINABLE FINANCING OF METROPOLIS GZM ACTIVITIES USING GREEN BONDS (the study was carried out as part of the ECOnimics4Climate project co-financed by the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis under the "Metropolitan Science Support Fund" Program in 2022-2024 as part of the project initiative entitled: Diverse trajectories of Research in Economics of Climate Change).
