Participation of the Department's employees in the 6th International Women's Day Conference in Economics, Finance and Management

The 6th International Women's Day Conference in Economics, Finance and Management, an international scientific conference devoted to contemporary challenges in economics, finance, and management, took place at the University of Economics in Katowice from March 12–14, 2026. The event provided a forum for the exchange of views and the presentation of research results conducted by representatives of academic centers from Poland and abroad.

The Department's employees actively participated in the conference, presenting the results of their research:

• dr hab. Joanna Błach, prof. UE – Corporate ESG transformation – scientific mapping of extant literature over the past decade,
• dr Agnieszka Skręt-Bednarz – Cele Zrównoważonego Rozwoju (SDG) w działalności polskich spółek giełdowych,
• mgr Krzysztof Pałęga – Przyczyny finansowe i niefinansowe niewypłacalności spółek z województwa śląskiego

Additionally, dr hab. Joanna Błach, prof. UE, and dr Agnieszka Skręt-Bednarz served as moderators for the conference panel sessions. Dr hab. Joanna Błach, prof. UE, also served as a member of the conference's Scientific Council.

The participation of the Department's staff in the conference provided an opportunity to present research results and exchange scientific experiences with representatives of other academic centers.
