Participation of the Department's employees in the 6th National Scientific Conference "Human capital in enterprise and economy - an interdisciplinary perspective"
The 6th National Scientific Conference "Human Capital in Enterprises and the Economy – An Interdisciplinary Perspective," organized by the Department of Human Capital Management at the University of Szczecin, took place in Międzyzdroje from May 27–29, 2026. The conference provided a forum for the exchange of views and the presentation of research results on the broadly understood issue of human capital, approached from the perspective of various scientific disciplines.
Our Department's employees actively participated in the event, presenting the results of their research:
- Dr inż. Iwona Gorzeń-Mitka, presented a paper entitled "Bridging the ESG Transformational Gap: Transformational Leadership and Human Capital Competencies as Mechanisms for Converting Stakeholder Pressure into Financial Results";
- Dr Danuta Kozłowska-Makóś, presented a paper entitled "ESG Transformation in Corporate Groups: Organizational Complexity, Implementation Limits, and Financial Relevance";
- Mgr Krzysztof Pałęga, presented a paper entitled "Effectiveness of the ESG Transformation Gap: Transformational Leadership and Human Capital Competencies as Mechanisms for Converting Stakeholder Pressure into Financial Results." "Financial and Non-Financial Causes of Corporate Insolvency in the Silesian Voivodeship."
The topics of the presentations focused on the ESG transformation of enterprises, the importance of human capital in organizational processes, and the determinants of corporate insolvency. Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to present research results, exchange experiences with representatives of various academic centers, and establish new research contacts.
