On Tuesday, October 22nd, the University of Economics in Katowice campus hosted another edition of the Autumn Wampiriada, organized by the Independent Student Association of the UE Katowice.
The Wampiriada is the largest student initiative of its kind in Poland. Each edition is organized in cooperation with the Regional Center of Blood Donation and Blood Treatment and attracts numerous willing donors. Students, employees, and even University of the Third Age listeners joined the campaign on the UE Katowice campus. The organizers also conducted information campaigns and educated participants on blood donation.
After donating blood, donors were greeted at a dedicated station by members of the Student Association, where they could enjoy cinnamon rolls, participate in a prize draw, and take a photo with the vampires roaming the university that day.
The vampires roaming the university that day encouraged students to join the campaign and provided information about blood donation, reminding participants that one blood donation can save up to three lives.
