On July 23, 2024, Dr Borys Budka, from the Department of Energy Transition of the University of Economics in Katowice, has been elected by acclamation the Chair of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy in the European Parliament (ITRE). This is one of the most important committees in the European Parliament. Congratulations!
About the committee
ITRE is responsible for industrial policy, research and innovation, space, energy and the use of new technologies. During the current term of the European Parliament, the committee will be a particularly important body in the EP, focusing on making Europe more competitive internationally while continuing to strive for zero carbon emissions by 2050.
