EUROWEEK 2026 [Report]

From 4-8 May 2026, the University of Economics in Katowice hosted the 31st edition of the International EUROWEEK Conference, bringing together students and academic staff from many European countries. Throughout the week, participants worked in international teams on research projects addressing contemporary economic and social challenges, exchanging experiences and perspectives.

EUROWEEK is a recurring conference organized continuously since 1995 within the PRIME Networking university network. Its core idea is to combine international student collaboration with a competitive element focused on the best research projects. Working in multinational teams, participants develop solutions to real economic and social challenges, which they then present before an international jury.

This year’s edition held special significance for the University of Economics in Katowice, which served as the host institution for the third time - following the 2005 and 2015 editions. Organizing the event reflects the University’s active commitment to developing international cooperation and creating opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The main theme of EUROWEEK 2026 was organizational resilience in times of dynamic change. Participants explored topics related to organizational agility, digital transformation, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and the future of work. The projects prepared during the conference focused on how organizations can adapt, recover, and grow in the face of contemporary challenges.

The event began with the arrival of participants and the first integration and educational activities, which helped teams get to know one another and introduced them to the conference topics. In the following days, this year’s edition was officially inaugurated during the opening ceremony, after which participants presented posters, took part in trial presentation sessions and integration programs, as well as intercultural events such as the Global Village.

The following days were filled with intensive project work, consultations, and preparations for presentations before the international jury. Teams refined their concepts, tested their presentations, and participated in organizational and networking meetings that fostered cooperation and relationship-building.

The highlight of the conference was the project presentation session, during which participants presented the outcomes of their work to the jury. The event concluded with the closing ceremony, during which the conference was summarized and officially brought to an end.

EUROWEEK 2026 once again became a space not only for academic development, but also for international cooperation and integration, enabling participants to gain new experiences and establish academic and intercultural connections.
