Her Magnificence Rector Prof. dr hab. inż. Celina M. Olszak, and the Senate of the University of Economics in Katowice would like to kindly invite you to the official Inauguration of the academic year 2022/2023 at our University which is scheduled for October 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dr. Józef Lisak Auditorium, Building A, ul. Bogucicka 3, Katowice.
Ceremony program:
- national anthem,
- speech by Her Magnificence the Rector,
- immatriculation,
- opening lecture by Prof. dr hab. Janina Harasim: "FinTech – how modern technologies are changing the financial sector".
The entire event will be graced by the performance of the Choir of the University of Economics in Katowice.
Participation
Please confirm your participation in the inauguration. Registration must be completed by September 26, 2023. Places are limited, and participation is determined on a first-come, first-served basis.
The organizers kindly request the University Authorities and members of the Senate to arrive early to don the robes and form the procession. Dressing rooms will be open from 10 a.m., Building A, 3rd floor, ul. Bogucicka 3, Katowice.

The academic mass will be held on October 6 at 8:00 a.m. at the Church of Divine Providence in Katowice (ul. 1 Maja 52).
