On October 9, in auditorium A, our University's youngest students celebrated the inauguration of the educational program aimed especially at them – the Children's Economic University (EUD)!
The children and their parents were welcomed by Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation with External Environment dr hab. Robert Wolny, prof. UE, who formally read the Student Oath and congratulated the participants on their excellent choice to join the program. The Vice-Rector encouraged our youngest students to continuously develop, acquire knowledge in economics, finance and management, and wished everyone the best possible academic year at our University, full of new friendships and learning possibilities.
During the event, Katarzyna Franke, Coordinator of the EUD program, congratulated parents and children on winning the competition for the most developmental initiative for children in the Silesian voivodeship, "Słoneczniki 2023". The program won first place, the Golden Sunflower 2023, in the category "Logic". Thanks to the parents' votes, the program was nominated for the competition.
The first workshop with children was conducted by mgr inż. Sylwia Jakubowska (Department of Human Resources Management). At the same time, the presentation intended for parents and guardians of EUD students was delivered by mgr Mateusz Muszyński (Department of Banking and Financial Markets).
The 29th edition of EUD includes 6 meetings and workshops for children and their parents, conducted by university teachers, business practitioners and local educators.
More than 100 of the youngest students from the region have declared their participation in this year's winter EUD edition.
While finishing the program, our youngest students will take part in an economic knowledge test, in which they have the opportunity to win the title of the best EUD student and compete for exciting prizes. Each participant will receive a Certificate of participation in the program!
