On February 4th, at the Kato Science Corner, a panel discussion titled "Women in the Development of Artificial Intelligence" took place. The event was attended by: Her Magnificence Rector, Prof. Celina M. Olszak, Ph.D., D.Sc., Professor Halina Kwaśnicka, Ph.D., D.Sc. (Wrocław University of Science and Technology), Professor Adrianna Kozierkiewicz, Ph.D., D.Sc. (Wrocław University of Science and Technology), Professor Anna Manowska, Ph.D., D.Sc. (Silesian University of Technology), and Barbara Probierz, Ph.D. (University of Economics in Katowice).
The event was part of the Artificial Intelligence Week in the City of Science. Over the course of 7 days, participants had the opportunity to discuss artificial intelligence, which is capable of analyzing data, recognizing patterns, making decisions, and even communicating in a way similar to ours. It is a fascinating field of research that opens the door to countless possibilities.
Her Magnificence Rector, Professor Celina M. Olszak, Ph.D., D.Sc, participated in the panel discussion dedicated to artificial intelligence.
In her remarks, she referred, among other things, to the book "Chłopki. Opowieść o naszych babkach" ("Peasants: A Story About Our Grandmothers"), which portrays the fate of women, mainly rural women. Her Magnificence Rector highlighted the context of raising children and priorities in the field of education.
