We are proud to announce that prof. dr hab. Ewa Wanda Ziemba from the Department of Business Informatics and International Accounting has been elected Vice Dean of Class V - Social Sciences, Law & Economics at the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA) for the 2025-2030 term. The term began on 24 November 2025.

Role of Class V
Class V, co-led by Prof. Ewa W. Ziemba, encompasses the fields of social sciences, economics and management, as well as law and public policy. It focuses on research addressing the most pressing challenges of modern societies - in particular sustainable development, digital ethics, and economic transformation.
Significance of the Appointment
The appointment of Prof. Ewa Wanda Ziemba to the EASA Presidium is a recognition of her scientific achievements, her contribution to the development of the concept of a sustainable information society, and her active international collaboration. It also strengthens the position of the University of Economics in Katowice on the European stage.
