From 12 to 15 October 2026, Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) in Karlskrona hosted two BAUHAUS4EU Alliance events: the WP6 Staff Week and the interregional workshop "Co-creating the Regions of Tomorrow: Education, Innovation & Partnership in Practice".

The WP6 Staff Week, held from 12 to 15 October under the theme "Micro credentials, intercultural competencies and future skills for all", focused on developing the Alliance’s joint educational offer. Participants worked on micro-credentials and exchanged experiences in innovative teaching methods, intercultural competencies and future skills.
The interregional workshop, held from 13 to 15 October, brought together representatives of partner universities, local and regional authorities, and organisations cooperating with the Alliance. The event focused on the role of education, research and innovation in building regional resilience and supporting sustainable regional development.
Participants explored examples of university collaboration with regional partners in Blekinge, alongside initiatives developed within the Alliance, including Regional Living Labs and projects focused on cultural heritage preservation and climate education. During the workshops, they jointly examined regional challenges, explored opportunities for cooperation and discussed ways to engage students in activities addressing local communities’ needs.
Discussions also highlighted the importance of building lasting relationships with partners, understanding their expectations and translating jointly identified needs into concrete initiatives. The programme included presentations of projects combining new technologies with sustainable development, as well as working sessions dedicated to the next steps within BAUHAUS4EU.
Our University will also organise Regional Living Labs. The first, "Campus Living Lab – Co-Play&Create", launches on 26 October 2026. As part of this interdisciplinary initiative, students will work together to explore the campus and its users’ needs through field research, exploratory walks and participatory mapping. Their findings will provide a starting point for discussions on the development of our University’s campus.
