We are happy to announce that Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen will once again organise a comprehensive one-week training programme for colleagues of our partner institutions in the framework of Erasmus+ staff mobility for training. The programme is scheduled from 14-18 October 2019 and will start on Monday morning and end on Thursday. On Friday, you will have the possibility to schedule your personal meetings with colleagues and students at Hanze UAS.

We will discuss the management and structure of an International Office, how can we manage our international office more effectively, and what services an international office should offer. | | |

| | | What will we focus on? | During this week, we would like to share our knowledge and experience with you, but we would also like to learn from you. How is your student support organised? What plans and ambitions does your university have to optimize its International Office office? And what creative or smart ideas are you implementing? Therefore we will ask you as participants to share your experiences with us.
We intend to organise sessions on the following topics with regard to student services:
- A General session on organisation and management of the International Office: best practices, do’s and don'ts, developments and challenges for the future.
- Student wellbeing / counseling / healthy skills.
Hanze UAS is very much concerned about student wellbeing (in a most general way) and has developed a broad variety of instruments to support students with the development of their own wellbeing. We will be glad to share these with you and explain why we have chosen to handle this theme from a perspective of prevention. - Crisis management.
- Housing challenges.
- Involvement of students:
Involve students to improve services and procedures, and to obtain new ideas regarding how to effectively approach this target group.
The International Office of Hanze UAS has worked with a group of students from the School of Communication, Media & IT. We would like to tell you about our experiences and working with ESN/ International Student Team. - Grants and scholarships:
How do we market them within our institutions? Do we communicate transparently enough with regard to what we offer? How can we improve our communication and marketing?
The programme will of course take place in a variety of settings, and will include time to socialize with your colleagues at several Hanze locations, as well as in the beautiful city and surroundings of Groningen! | | |

| | | Who should participate? | The programme targets university’s International Offices employees, Study Guidance, Study Advisors, University Services or Faculties Supporting International students and International Coordinators. All of you are more than welcome.
Participants are expected to finance their own travel, accommodation, and other expenses through the Erasmus+ programme. There are no participation fees.
Up to thirty participants will be admitted, with a maximum of two attendees per institution, though priority will be given to one per institution.
