Academic Staff of the Department of Investment on International Research Fellowships

In the current semester, academic staff from the Department of Investment, aiming to enhance the research potential of the University, participated in international research fellowships at renowned institutions:

• Prof. Monika Foltyn-Zarychta – at the Interdisciplinary Institute of Ethics and Human Rights, University of Fribourg (Switzerland), upon the invitation of Dr Dominik Roser,

• Dr Rafał Buła – at the University of Southampton (United Kingdom), upon the invitation of Dr Krishantha Vithana.

During her fellowship, Prof. Monika Foltyn-Zarychta had the opportunity to present her research findings at the Environmental Humanities Colloquium and engage in discussions on a research idea "The Puzzle of Deontological Perspective and Investment Decisions in Shaping Climate Change Policies." Dr Rafał Buła contributed to the development of a grant proposal titled "From Coal to Clean Energy: An In-Depth Analysis of Incentives, Obstacles, and Solutions in the Energy Transformation Process of Enterprises." This proposal is being prepared as part of the Economic and Social Research Council’s Impact Acceleration Account (United Kingdom) by an international research team.

As a result of the collaborative efforts of the Department’s staff, a grant proposal has also been prepared under the Regional Initiative of Excellence framework. The proposal, titled "From Black Gold to Green Power: The Energy Transformation from the Stakeholders' Perspective on the Example of Mining Regions – Financial, Managerial, Ethical, and Social Dimensions," aims to further explore these pressing issues.

Co-financed by the Polish Minister of Science under the "Regional Initiative of Excellence" programme.
