A visit from a property appraiser during a corporate finance classes

On December 10, 2025, a course in Corporate Finance was held for students of the Financial Analyst 2.0 program (first-cycle, third semester, full-time studies). The guest speaker was Mr. Paweł Głębowicz, a real estate appraiser and graduate of Finance and Accounting at the University of Economics in Katowice, currently employed at CBRE sp. z o.o. as an Associate Valuer. The course was organized at the invitation of Krzysztof Pałęga, M.A., who supervised the guest.

Mr. Paweł Głębowicz gave a lecture entitled "Business Valuation as a Tool Supporting Key Financial Decisions of Managers."

During the lecture, he introduced students to practical issues related to business value analysis, valuation methods, and tools used in the daily work of real estate appraisers and analysts. He also discussed the importance of valuation processes in making strategic decisions in companies and demonstrated how knowledge of finance and asset valuation is applied in market practice.

The lecture significantly enriched the course, allowing students to learn about real-world examples and work standards in the consulting industry and increasing their awareness of professional decision-making processes in corporate finance.
