Conference "Regional Forum of the Year of Economic Education – Educational Impulses 2024"

The aim of the REE2024 Regional Conference was to gather regional leaders in the field of economic education, including representatives of public institutions, local governments, universities, teacher training centers and the media, and to discuss the challenges facing Polish society.

The event was inaugurated by:

The event included:

- a lecture on the National Financial Education Strategy delivered by Monika Wojciechowska – Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Finance for the Financial Education Strategy.

- a debate on "Challenges of Economic Education in a Changing Economic Reality" attended by:

- lecture by Krzysztof Ostafiński on economic education in primary and secondary schools.

- opening of the exhibition - Year of Economic Education 2024.

The event is held under the Honorary Patronage of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship and the Honorary Patronage of the University of Economics in Katowice.

Main organizer: Warsaw Institute of Banking Foundation.

Partners and co-organizers of the event were: GPW Foundation, Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation, Polish Scouting Association, Polish Economic Society, Czepczyński Family Foundation, University of Economics in Katowice (Department of Corporate Finance and Business Insurance).

The event is being held as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 initiative.

The event is coordinated on behalf of the University by the employees of the Department of Corporate Finance and Insurance under the leadership of dr. hab. Joanna Błach, prof. UE.
