Expert lecture as part of the Business Ethics subject.
On December 19, 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting Dawid Idzior from Rockwell Automation, who, at the invitation of dr Agnieszka Skręt-Bednarz, gave a lecture for students of the first semester of bachelor's studies in Finance and Accounting for Business as part of the Business Ethics subject.
Mr. Dawid Idzior works at Rockwell Automation as Assistant General Counsel, as well as Ombuds for the EMEA region. In the latter role, he is responsible for resolving all matters related to potentially unethical behavior of employees. He is also a Member of the Management Board.
During the lecture entitled "Rockwell Automation's Code of Conduct and Compliance System as an example of an employees' ethical standards policy in the business", Mr. Dawid Idzior introduced students to issues related to ethical behavior in the work environment. He also presented details of the group system for ensuring ethical standards, including the Code of Conduct, the policy of conduct in the event of its violations and the structure of his department. In addition, he initiated a discussion with students about the importance of values and responsibility in running a business and about the challenges facing modern companies. Thanks to the inspiring questions of students, the lecture became an opportunity for joint reflection on how to shape an ethical work environment.
