Lecture by a practitioner – expert within the subject of Finance in the digital economy
On January 20, 2026, we had the pleasure of attending a lecture by expert and practitioner Tomasz Jastrząb, PhD, Eng., from Technicenter Sp. z o.o. At the invitation of dr Małgorzata Lipowicz, the guest lecturer was delivered to students of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science as part of the Finance in the Digital Economy course.
Dr. Eng. Tomasz Jastrząb is an expert in data analysis and processing and the author of the eanaliza.pl system, which was developed in collaboration with, among others, academics from the University of Economics in Katowice. He created and coordinates a website publishing industry analytical indicators based on financial data provided by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Tomasz Jastrząb has been collaborating with the Department of Corporate Finance and Business Insurance for many years.
The lecture presented analytical tools as elements of artificial intelligence that support decision-making in finance. The expert presented the practical application of the eanaliza.pl system in corporate finance. The Knowledge Base module can be used by students to help them learn the subject and build future competencies in the job market. The Industry Indicators website was also presented, which can be used as a tool to support analyses, studies, or as a data source for comparative purposes. Thanks to its practical nature, the guest lecture inspired students to begin applying their acquired knowledge and skills in practice. The lecture perfectly complemented the program's content, which emphasizes the application of new technologies, including AI, in economic processes, including finance.
