Participation of Our Employees in the Scientific Seminar
Report from the Scientific Seminar of the Faculty of Finance – November 18, 2024
On November 18, 2024, the Scientific Seminar of the Faculty of Finance was held as part of the project "Program of scientific, research and educational excellence UEKAT". The event took place in the Z. Pawłowski Auditorium at the University of Economics in Katowice and gathered numerous representatives of the scientific community and students. During the second session, entitled "Finance and accounting for sustainable development", the results of research conducted in our Department were presented:
- Dr Danuta Kozłowska-Makóś: "Challenges of sustainable development - the perspective of corporate finance"
- Dr inż. Iwona Gorzeń-Mitka: "Risk management of green transformation in companies from innovative industries in the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis"
- Dr Małgorzata Lipowicz: "Financing the activities of the GZM Metropolis through the use of green and blue bonds (effect of the task in the project "Different research paths in the economics of climate change"; co-financing by the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis under the "Metropolitan Fund for Supporting Science" program in 2022-2024)
The seminar ended with a panel discussion, during which the participants had the opportunity to exchange views on the directions of development of scientific research at the Faculty of Finance. We would like to thank the organizers and participants for fruitful discussions and inspiring speeches.
