Participation of practitioners in classes on the subject "Insurance"
On December 16-17, 2025, as part of the Insurance course, a meeting was held between students and invited practitioners from the insurance industry. Dr Danuta Kozłowska-Makóś and dr Małgorzata Lipowicz, who led the workshops in the aforementioned subject, initiated the invitation.
The following persons participated in the meeting:
• Mr. Marceli Drabek – insurance broker, Brokerzy Śląsky Sp. z o.o.,
• Mr. Mariusz Młoczek – Southern Region Manager, TUiR WARTA S.A.
In the first part of the course, Marceli Drabek presented the topic "Business Insurance in 2025 »From the Inside«: Claims, AI, and the Role of the Broker," introducing students to the practical aspects of corporate insurance management, the claims settlement process, and the growing role of AI-based tools in brokerage.
The second part of the meeting was led by Mariusz Młoczek and was devoted to the topic of "The Role of the Corporate Insurance Underwriter," with particular emphasis on the risk assessment process, principles of structuring insurance offers, and collaboration with brokers and corporate clients.
The classes were practical and workshop-based, providing a significant supplement to the course content. The participation of practitioners enabled students to engage directly with insurance industry experts and learn about the realities of the insurance market from a professional perspective.
During the classes, the invited practitioners received thanks from the Dean of the College of Studies for their commitment to the teaching process and their contribution to the development of the practical dimension of student education.
