The department's employees received the Award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education
On Friday, February 20, 2026, the Polish Science Gala took place in Warsaw, during which the Minister of Science and Higher Education Awards were presented. During the ceremony, the award for outstanding teaching achievements was presented to the research team consisting of dr hab. Joanna Błach, prof. UE, dr Maria Gorczyńska, prof. UE, and dr Małgorzata Lipowicz.
The award was presented for the development of the textbook "Corporate Finance – Theoretical Foundations and Practical Issues." The publication was created as a modern and accessible compendium of knowledge, combining a solid theoretical foundation with a practical approach to corporate finance. A particular value of the textbook is its development in accordance with the principles of universal design, making the teaching material more accessible and user-friendly for a wide audience, including those with diverse learning needs.
The textbook provides significant support in the education of economics students and anyone interested in corporate finance.
