We are thrilled to announce the impressive achievements of our second-year full-time and part-time International Business students in the prestigious international X-Culture project.
As part of the Intercultural Competences Project course, initiated and led by Dr. hab. Monika Sulimowska-Formowicz, Prof. of UE, as many as 101 students from the University of Economics in Katowice participated in this unique experience of working in global virtual teams.
In this edition, X-Culture brought together 5,835 students from 161 universities in 41 countries across 6 continents, forming over 1,000 international project teams. Our students stood out for their excellent knowledge, strong engagement, and outstanding intercultural competencies, which were reflected in the very high evaluations of their work and contributions to their teams.
We are also proud to share that Dr. hab. Monika Sulimowska-Formowicz, Prof. of UE was awarded the prestigious X-Culture Best Professor Award 2025-1, based on evaluations from among 198 professors participating in the project. This award is a recognition of her professionalism, support for students, and significant contribution to the overall success of the initiative.
