From April 22 to 24, 2026, the 18th European Economic Congress will take place at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, this time under the motto “The Power of Dialogue. Siła dialogu.” The University of Economics in Katowice is an institutional partner of the event, and during the Congress the University will be represented by a group of experts led by the HM the Rector, prof. dr hab. inż. Celina M. Olszak.
About the event
The European Economic Congress (EEC) in Katowice is a three-day series of debates, meetings, and accompanying events with the participation of guests from Poland, Europe, and around the world. These include EU commissioners, prime ministers and representatives of European governments, CEOs of the largest companies, academics and practitioners, and decision-makers with real influence on economic and social life. Within this opinion-forming group, discussions are held in the form of an open public debate on the issues most important for Europe’s development.
