Celebration of the "Feel good @ UEKat – support for improving the psycho-physical condition of foreign students at UE Katowice" project took place on November 17 at 09:15 a.m, right before the start of the Day with NAWA. NAWA Director Dr. Dawid Kostecki performed the ribbon cutting during the event at our University's Welcome Point (Room No. 112A, Building A, ul. Bogucicka 3).
The project’s implementation at Welcome Point includes numerous meetings and events dedicated to fostering attitudes of openness and tolerance, as well as the integration of Polish and foreign students (as part of internationalization "at home").
Planned are workshops on the essentials of psychological self-care, healthy food (education on healthy eating, with live cooking demonstrations on how to prepare healthy yet tasty meals), mindfulness or effective learning.
Some of the other scheduled events include a workshop on creating forests in a jar (integration through the creation of ecosystems in jars, decorating student apartments, promoting closeness to nature), "Adopt a plant" event or "Juice it up Thursdays" (promoting healthy eating through making freshly squeezed juices).
One of the project’s elements that also ties in with the activities implemented within the framework of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 shall be the photo contest "I feel good @Katowice".
