On January 11, 2021, the community of the University of Economics in Katowice celebrated its day. This year, due to pandemic, the whole event was organized online. However, there were also traditional parts of the ceremony: doctors and habilitated doctors were honored as well as professors were given the title of the Honorary Professor. As part of the event, virtual walk around the university campus was presented for the first time.
During celebration, the university authorities:
Rector Prof. Celina M. Olszak, Ph.D., D.Sc., Vice-Rector for Science and Development Prof. Maciej Nowak, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Education and Internationalization Prof. Sławomir Smyczek, Ph.D. talked online with the invited guests in the CNTI Auditorium. The event was hosted by spokesman Marek Kiczka.
The ceremony is broadcast on the University's YouTube channel.
