We are delighted to announce that dr Alina Czapla from the Department of Organizational Relationship Management has received the Best Doctoral Paper Award, presented by the Management Consulting Division of the Academy of Management (AOM). The award was presented during this year’s Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, held from 31 July to 4 August 2026. We warmly congratulate dr Alina Czapla on this prestigious international distinction, as well as her doctoral supervisor, prof. dr hab. Maciej Mitręga!
The distinction is particularly significant given the prestige of the organization presenting the award. Founded in 1936, the Academy of Management is one of the world’s leading scholarly associations in the field of management and organization, bringing together more than 21,000 researchers, doctoral students, and practitioners from over 120 countries. Its annual conference, the Annual Meeting, is one of the most important international academic events in the field of management.
The Management Consulting Division brings together researchers and practitioners whose work focuses on management consulting and on bridging academic knowledge and managerial practice. The Best Doctoral Paper Award, presented by the Division, recognizes the best papers authored by doctoral students that have previously undergone an anonymous double-blind peer-review process and been accepted for presentation at the AOM conference.
