We are very pleased to announce that Dr hab. Artur Strzelecki, prof. UE, has been recognized in the prestigious ranking of the world's most cited scientists - the World's Top 2% Scientists 2023. This ranking, compiled by Stanford University, Elsevier Publishing and SciTech Strategies, focuses on the scientific achievements of the most influential scientists worldwide.
It should be noted that the list of the World's Top 2% Scientists includes an analysis of the entire scientific output since 1960, as well as publications and citations from the last calendar year. This is a tremendous achievement that highlights Prof. Strzelecki's contribution to science and his position among the leading thinkers in his field.
The World's Top 2% Scientists database provides standardized citation information (a key indicator of scientific impact), the Hirsch index and a composite indicator (c-score). The c- score index emphasizes impact (i.e. citations) instead of the number of publications, including information on co-authorship and author position.
Prof. Strzelecki is the only representative of our University to be included in such an elite group in 2022. This demonstrates the world-class scientific standards maintained by our University and the outstanding achievements of our scientists.
