Economics without Borders - European City of Science Katowice 2024

From November 6th to 8th, the 4th edition of the "Economics Without Borders" project will take place in the CNTI auditorium of the University of Economics in Katowice, as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024. This year's edition will feature a series of interdisciplinary debates involving academic teachers and students from Katowice universities, as well as motivational speeches aimed at popularizing science among high school students and the local community. All events within the "Economics Without Borders" are conducted in English.

The aim of the project is to popularize science on an international scale by organizing unique events, that provide opportunities for scientific debates and presentations of achievements in the implementation of innovative scientific, educational and business solutions by prominent experts from all over Europe and from all over World.

The events aim to address economic, as well as socio-cultural issues, including aspects of social responsibility and sustainable development, from a global perspective and  through the lens of other fields (e.g. technology and IT, art, law, ecology or regional transformation) showcasing the interdisciplinary nature of economics.

Economics Without Borders is a continuation of the intercontinental project “Economics Without Borders” implemented within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Science program “Social Responsibility of Science” in 2021-2023.

The project was co-financed by the GZM Metropolis and the Silesian Voivodeship.

The event is being held as part of the City-Region-Academy band of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
