We are pleased to announce that our Master's degree program in International Business has received the prestigious EFMD Accredited accreditation.
EFMD accreditation is one of the most demanding business accreditations to receive – it is a mark of quality recognized worldwide. The basic criterion for obtaining it is a detailed verification of the quality of the program, paying special attention to things such as the position of the program on the national and international market, the relevance of the program for the university, the quality of the knowledge transferred, relations with the business environment and graduates, and the level of academic staff. The process of obtaining EFMD Accredited took more than three years and consisted of several stages, including the development of a detailed Self-Assessment Report and a virtual visit by the Peer Review Team. This is another international accreditation, following the CEEMAN IQA accreditation for our entire University which we obtained in 2020.
"Both guidance and experience we have gained in the process of self-evaluation and adapting our processes to EFMD standards will undoubtedly enhance the quality of education throughout our University. In addition, the opportunity to use the EFMD Accredited logo will help strengthen the image and prestige of the University at home and abroad", emphasized Professor Sławomir Smyczek, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, who personally supervised the process of accreditation.
The report, baseroom and the EFMD Commission's visit were prepared entirely by the EFMD Accreditation Team, appointed by the Rector, including:
- Monika Sulimowska-Formowicz, Ph.D.;
- Bartłomiej Gabryś, Ph.D.;
- Marta Grybś-Kabocik, Ph.D.;
- Olgierd Witczak, Ph.D.;
- Szymon Ździebko, M.A.
in close cooperation with the Program Director of International Business, Associate Professor Justyna Matysiewicz, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies.
The process of obtaining accreditation, including the Ministry of Education and Science project covering part of the costs, was coordinated by Edyta Lachowicz-Santos, Director of the Office of Internationalization.
We would like to sincerely thank all those involved in the process of obtaining accreditation for the support: the University authorities, students, lecturers, administrative staff, alumni and employers who participated in the meetings with the Peer Review Team.
Congratulations on such a great collective success of our Alma Mater!
