Erasmus+ AI4Good Project Equips 70 UE Katowice Students with ISACA Cybersecurity Skills

The University of Economics in Katowice is strengthening its efforts to develop student’s digital competencies and cybersecurity awareness through the Eramus+l project AI4Good - Supporting School Teacher Training in AI. Coordinated by Assoc. The AI4Good project combines innovation, education, and social responsibility to prepare educators and students for the challenges of the digital age. Its mission is to enhance digital skills, deepen understanding of  artificial intelligence and promote the safe and ethical use of technology in European classrooms and beyond.

Including Financial Analyst 2.0 students in the ISACA programme is not only an investment in knowledge, but also in the digital security of future leaders in finance and technology,” said Assoc. Prof. Bożena Frączek, project coordinator at the University of Economics in Katowice - Through this collaboration, we are helping students gain practical and globally recognised skills that will enhance their employability and readiness for the digital economy.

AI4Good demonstrates the importance of cooperation between education and industry in building Europe’s digital future - added Chris Dimitriadis, Global Chief Strategy Officer at ISACA - By making cybersecurity and AI education more accessible, we are helping empower the next generation of professionals who will drive innovation and digital trust across Europe.

Cybersecurity Fundamentals - a Practical Pathway to ISACA Certification

Through the partnership with ISACA, UE Katowice students receive complimentary access to the comprehensive Cybersecurity Fundamentals certification programme, which includes:

  • Study Guide - an introduction to the principles of cybersecurity and risk management,
  • Online Review Course - an interactive e-learning experience,
  • Lab Package - practical exercises simulating real-life cyber incidents,
  • Exam - an internationally recognised certification exam verifying acquired knowledge and skills.

The AI4Good initiative shows how academia and industry can work together to close Europe’s digital skills gap,” added Assoc. Prof. Bożena Frączek - By linking university learning with professional certification, we help students translate theory into real-world capabilities.

Recognised for European Impact
