On July 1, 2023, our University launched its brand new project "Feel good @ UEKat – support for improving the psycho-physical condition of foreign students at UE Katowice". This project is mainly aimed at international students, but its reach will also include our University's Polish students and employees.
The project's main goal is to create a friendly environment for students to improve their mental and physical well-being. Activities such as yoga classes, workshops on stress management and healthy food, fruit Thursdays, staff training sessions and many, many more - all done to support the internationalization of the University, the development of internationalization "at home", the promotion of attitudes of openness and tolerance, as well as to improve the skills of employees who have a direct impact on creating an environment for foreign students, doctoral students and academic teachers.
The project has received funding in the amount of PLN 233,350.00 from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the "Welcome to Poland" program, initiated by Internationalization and Welcome Point under its management, and will be implemented between July 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.
The entire project is going to be supervised by Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations Prof. Sławomir Smyczek, Ph.D., who is closely involved in the University's internationalization efforts.
