On 20–21 October this year, University of Bologna will host the conference that closes the Greening Energy Markets and Finance GrEnFIn project, in which the University of Economics in Katowice acted as a partner. The event will be an opportunity to present the results of the project and will be combined with the official opening of the first edition of the GrEnFIn Master's degree programme. One of the speakers at the conference will be prof. Ewa Dziwok, Ph.D, Head of Department of Applied Mathematics / Faculty of Finance.
The GrEnFIn project consists of training professionals both from among those already working in companies and students on sustainability, the energy sector and increasing their financial skills to make them experts and professionals in this field. The programme also implements the vision of the European Commission's High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance's Final Report (January 2018) on sustainability and financial stability in Europe.
During the closing conference of the GrEnFIn project, which will take place on 20–21 October in Bologna, the results and achievements of the project will be presented, among other things, and the partners will outline the perspective and future path of the project. Among them will be the presence of Ewa Dziwok, Ph.D., Professor of the EU, who will chair a conference entitled: "E-SRISK: a method for quantifying the environmental factor in systemic risk analysis".
The conference will also include lectures on topics such as:
- optimal portfolio selection under climate risk and model uncertainty,
- model frameworks for forecasting equity portfolio returns under climate transition scenarios,
- oil prices,
- european market premium analysis.
