Golden Hundred of Enterprises of the Silesian Voivodeship 2025 [coverage]

At the Silesian Museum, on 19 November 2025, the Gala Golden Hundred the Silesian Voivodeship 2025 (PL: Złota Setka Województwa Śląskiego 2025) took place, organised by the publisher of Dziennik Zachodni and Strefa Biznesu - Polska Press Group. During the ceremonial gala, companies were presented that combine excellent financial performance with care for employees and pro-social activities in their surroundings. HM the Rector prof. dr hab. inż. Celina M. Olszak took part in the event. The University of Economics in Katowice was the event’s substantive partner.

Opening of the Gala

Guests at the Silesian Museum were welcomed by the sounds of the orchestra of Polska Grupa Górnicza and by a performance by Barbara Lubos, an actress of the Silesian Theatre in Katowice, who conversed with a humanoid robot created by the company Delta Robots. Afterwards, the assembled audience was greeted by the host, dr Tomasz Rożek, who then handed over the floor to the President of the Śląsk-Łódź Macroregion Aneta Sarga-Burtan and to the Editor-in-Chief of "Dziennik Zachodni" Marcin Zasada, who officially opened the event.

Welcoming words were also addressed to the audience by the Silesian Voivode Marek Wójcik and HM the Rector of UE Katowice prof. dr hab. inż. Celina M. Olszak.

Here we have companies that originated in Silesia. It was here that someone conceived them, had an idea, strength, determination, and brought that idea to life. These are companies led by managers from our region. And that is why the "Golden Hundred" is worth discussing. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am also a member of the jury, and as a jury member, in our new composition, together with President Rykała, we stirred things up a bit. […] I wish you first and foremost an enjoyable evening, and I hope that the "Golden Hundred" will help you discover how to develop your businesses and what to invest in in the future. Thank you very much - said Silesian Voivode Marek Wójcik.

I am incredibly honoured to participate in today’s amazing event, the Gala "Golden Hundred of Silesian Voivodeship". This event shows how strong and wise Silesia is. Not so long ago, Silesia was primarily mining coal. This is where the cradle of industry was born. (…) In Silesia there are over 500,000 companies. They contribute to the development not only of our region but of all Poland, and even Europe. Today’s laureates are definitely the leaders of this vast community of entrepreneurs. Thanks to you, an extraordinary transformation of our region is taking place before our eyes - a transformation we need so much. As the Rector of the University of Economics, I want to say that I greatly value the cooperation and synergy between universities and practice. Thanks to you, we create new first- and second-cycle study programmes and postgraduate programmes. In many cases, you are the inspirations behind the changes that take place at our university as well - emphasised HM the Rector.
