ICAM 2026 Conference in Seattle

On April 13-15 this year, the ICAM 2026 conference took place in Seattle, during which the University of Economics in Katowice was represented by the Vice-Rector for Teaching and International Relations prof. dr hab. Wojciech Dyduch. The event was organized by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

ICAM brought together over 1,200 business educators from more than 60 countries, who jointly analyzed the most important factors shaping the future of management education. During discussions and collaborative sessions, participants examined trends in leadership, technology, and social impact, while also sharing ways to support innovation within their institutions.

The program covered key topics such as accreditation, the importance of research, student success, and the role of business education in responding to global challenges. The meeting in Seattle fostered networking and the exchange of experiences within the AACSB community.

An important element of the event was the vote on changes to the Global Standards for Business Education™ and the 2026 Accounting Accreditation Standards, which enabled members to have a real impact on the future of quality systems. Additionally, a decision was made regarding a more predictable model for updating membership fees, the implementation of which is planned from July 2027.
