In the summer semester of 2024/2025, our university will welcome 30 students from 15 different countries as part of the Erasmus+ program. To help them adapt to living and studying in Katowice, they will take part in an Integration Week organized by Welcome Point. The event will take place between February 17 and 21.
As in previous editions, the Integration Week will begin with an information day, combining the content part with integration and a tour of the campus. Throughout the week, the organizers will be supported by a group of “Uni Buddies” - students helping new colleagues acclimatize to the University of Economics in Katowice.
A rich program awaits the participants, including a walking tour of Katowice, a Polish language lesson, a visit to the Silesian Museum and a screening at the Silesian Planetarium in Chorzow. There will also be plenty of attractions such as a joint dinner with traditional Polish pierogi or competition in a bowling alley.
The highlight of the intensive week will be the Global Village at the dormitory-Basecamp by Xior Katowice, during which students and Uni Buddies will prepare booths with traditional foods, drinks and customs from their countries. Popular songs from various corners of the world will be played in the background.
This year's edition of Integration Week is organized by the Internationalization Office in cooperation with the International Relations Office and the active participation of Polish and foreign students of “Uni Buddies.” We invite you to follow the relations on Welcome Point's Instagram!
